Rev. Dr. Kenneth J. Sloane and Mrs. Bridget McKamey Sloane
Ken and Bridget Sloane feel very blessed to be a part of the United Methodist General Agency family.
Bridget is a Tennessee native, having been reared in the Town of LaFollette in East Tennessee and educated at United Methodist Lambuth College in West Tennessee before settling in Nashville. She worked at United Methodist Communications for five years before moving to the General Council on Finance & Administration three years ago. She is pioneering a new section in the area of Shared Services for GCFA as a Customer Success Specialist.
Ken grew up on Long Island, NY, and attended Hofstra University for his undergraduate work. He earned his M.Div. and D. Min. from Drew University. An ordained Elder in the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference, Ken served local churches for 20+ years, and served as Director of Connectional Ministries for that annual conference for five years. In 2006, he moved to Nashville to become Director of Communications Ministry for United Methodist Communications, and moved to the General Board of Discipleship to become Director of Stewardship & Connectional Ministries.
Bridget and Ken met in Nashville and were married on June 25, 2011. They have four adult children: Connor, Callie, Emily and Jason.
Bridget has a passion for feeding people, and Ken has a passion for opening doors to education for others. They have included Africa University in their estate plans and are endowing a scholarship in the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Africa University.
Ken was inducted into the Legacy Society in 2008 and is being recognized for his second planned gift to Africa University.
