Rev. Dr. Robin Dease
Robin Dease said that she is a woman of few words. That may well be, but oh, what powerful words!
Robin is a graduate of Claflin University (Orangeburg, SC) and Wesley Theological Seminary (Washington, DC). She is an ordained elder in the South Carolina Annual Conference and is presently serving as District Superintendent of the Hartsville District.
In her own powerful words:
"I support Africa University by including it in my estate planning because of what the university meant to the late Drs. Jonas and Odette Kennedy. They were so proud to be a part of something larger than themselves! Approximately 25 years ago, the Kennedys invited me to travel with them to Africa because they wanted me to see The United Methodist Church in ministry and mission beyond the local church setting. The Kennedys were my spiritual parents. They reared me!

"While I was a student at Claflin and later at Wesley Theological Seminary, the Kennedys taught me what it means to give back, to celebrate our heritage, and to make a way for those who may never have the same opportunities that were afforded me.
"It is the Kennedys' faithful commitment to Africa University that I want to continually honor. It's my way of saying to them, —Much obliged!'"
