Rev. Ann S. Blair

name

A daughter and granddaughter of teachers and Methodist preachers, Rev. Ann S. Blair has an appreciation for education, especially in a faith setting. Reared in parsonages in Oregon, she eventually entered the ministry, thus following in the footsteps of her father, grandfather, and grandmother. She has served congregations in the former Wyoming Annual Conference and now serves in the recently formed Upper New York Annual Conference.

Rev. Blair became interested in Africa at the age of eleven after hearing a missionary who was home on furlough from the Congo speak at a United Methodist Women's School of Mission event. During her tenure as host of the Conference Mission and Outreach Table, she became very involved with the Wyoming Conference Zimbabwe Partnership, which supported several mission projects in Zimbabwe.

Rev. Blair currently serves on the Africa University Permanent Scholarship Endowment Task Force of the Upper New York Annual Conference. Her daughters, Trish Cannon and Nina Smith, and their families have developed an interest in Maua Methodist Hospital in Kenya.
