18TH ANNUAL RICHARD E. “DICK” REEVES LEGACY SOCIETY RECOGNITION DINNER

Every year, out of the blue, we learn about a bequest to Africa University. News comes by way of a letter from either the probate attorney or the personal representative of the estate. Of course, we receive the announcement with profound gratitude, but we also feel regret and a keen sense of loss because we are unable to personally thank the donor for his or her generosity.

Giving thanks is a big part of what we do at Africa University, and we take this responsibility seriously. It is one of our greatest pleasures. This is why we established the Richard E. "Dick" Reeves Legacy Society in 2001---to recognize and to thank those very special donors who have included Africa University in their estate plans. These special donors have, in effect, elevated Africa University to the status of family.

On September 7, 2018, 21 new members were inducted into the Legacy Society and 2 current members were recognized for having made 2nd planned gifts to the institution. Because of the generosity of our planned gifts donors, Africa University can plan for the future with greater assurance.

Each year, we take time during the course of the dinner to remember with profound gratitude Legacy Society members and other friends who passed since we last gathered. Please scroll below to view the 2018 memorial presentation.
